Shooting Stars

In an enchanting evening that captured the hearts of all in attendance, MM Milano Kids unveiled its latest collection titled "Shooting Star," a fashion show that told a heartfelt story of dreams and aspirations. The event, deeply personal and evocative, mirrored the childhood dreams of its designer, Chona Bacaoco who once gazed up at the stars, wishing for the very future she has crafted today.

"When I was a little girl, I would sit every night under the tree waiting for the shooting stars to come so I could make a wish," Chona Bacaoco shared, her voice imbued with a sense of wonder and nostalgia. This sentiment laid the groundwork for a collection that was as much about fashion as it was about the fulfillment of dreams, with young models embodying the twinkling stars that once fueled Bacaco's childhood.

Striking reds and yellows dominated the palette, bold and bright, capturing the audience's attention and drawing them into a world of dazzling possibilities. Fishnets paired with black heels added an edge to the collection, while a standout lavender suit stole the show with its immaculate attention to detail, underlining Bacaoco’s commitment to elegance and sophistication.

Yet, beyond the sparkle and glamor, there was a deeper message. In our interview, Bacaoco explained, "I didn’t want big hair and loud noises; I wanted it to be subtle. I wanted it to be unique. I wanted it to be authentic," reflected the ethos of MM Milano Kids. The designer's vision was clear – to inspire children to believe that they don't have to conform to a predefined mold to shine. The true star, as she believes, is from within, and this collection was her platform to let that light shine brightly.
