FAKETOÜR

SHORT FILM

Co-directed with my friend Ny’Eem, FAKETOÜR was an outlet for us to experiment and explore the bounds of our creativity. Inspired by Aimé Leon Dore's “Doublemint,” we wanted to see how we could channel our ideas into the medium of film. We were sponges first though, soaking up information from references, tutorials, and other creators to ensure we had enough tools to best care for the project. Then it was time to work, but our creative process was more like play, bouncing ideas off of each other and letting energy flow through us and into the project.

I am forever grateful for our models, who trusted us to tell a story through them. And Ny’eem for pushing with and against me, encouraged the creation of this short film.

My Key takeaways:

- I will always be a student.

- A singular work doesn't define who I am but is a stepping stone to who I will become.

- I don’t really know anything, and it’s more fun that way.
